2026 Accounting Horizons Conference

The 2026 Accounting Horizons Conference will be hosted by the Costello College of Business at George Mason University on May 21–22, 2026, at Mason Square in Arlington, Virginia. This conference will address pressing issues and problems facing the accounting profession and facilitate dialogue between academics and non-academics. The conference will feature paper presentations and discussions, panel discussions, and keynote addresses, bringing together a diverse group of participants from academia, the preparer community, public accounting firms, standard setters, and regulators.

 

 

  • The Conference will encourage the development of rigorous academic research which is relevant to accounting practice and standard setting. 

  • Its agenda will feature research presentations, panel discussions, and a keynote speech. 

  • The audience will comprise academics, practitioners, standard setters, regulators, and a few accounting students.
