Against a backdrop of ongoing War in Ukraine, conflict across the Middle East, and a rising People’s Republic of China in the Strait of Taiwan, the new Trump Administration faces a looming question: How prepared are we for the next full-scale military conflict should the balloon go up today?

Recent research from the Greg and Camille Baroni Center at the Costello College of Business makes clear that the United States is not currently prepared to sustain our forces and win such a conflict. On February 19, the Baroni Center hosted a webinar to discuss these findings and explore how Congress and the Trump Administration can ensure the United States is prepared to act if and when the next major military conflagration occurs.

The panel was moderated by Federal News Radio host Tom Temin and include the perspectives from Rick Berger and Kevin Gates from the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) and Baroni Center Executive Director Jerry McGinn.
